In the ideal world, the skeleton is balanced: the pelvis is level, the spine is perpendicular.
Small changes to the joints or their position causes the body to make small but crucial adjustments. This leads to extra stresses on ligaments, and in turn muscles and ultimately results in a change in space around nerves.
These changes lead to a restriction in flexibility, discomfort and pain. It may manifest in feelings of stiffness, a change in how you move or affect your performance in a sport or other activity.
A pain you experience in one place may actually be triggered by an issue elsewhere in the body. For example, the pain felt from sciatica could actually be an indication of a positional change of a joint in the back.
Another example of pain experienced elsewhere is, if you have a knee pain and treat the knee in isolation, there is a possibility that the underlying reason for the knee pain has not actually been addressed. The body continues to compensate for the underlying reason, and a problem manifests elsewhere in the body.
Whatever the label, where there is imbalance, we may be able to treat these conditions.
We are experts on the body’s STRUCTURE. We do not treat ILLNESSES such as diabetes or cancer.
